On 11-13 February 2020, the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) will host the OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector in Paris, France. "Due Diligence in a shifting context” is the theme of the OECD Forum and will bring together over 500 representatives from governments, business, trade unions and civil society to discuss the application of responsible business conduct within the sector in a neutral environment.

Plenary discussions in 2020 will explore how due diligence can be reconciled with trade tensions as well as the various shades of grey around mandatory due diligence. This year’s forum will also provide the opportunity to explore how technology can support monitoring and worker engagement, SMEs and due diligence, and due diligence implications of circular supply chain models in the sector.
