This report, 1.5-Degree Lifestyles: Targets and options for reducing lifestyle carbon footprints, analyses the carbon footprint of household lifestyles and how changes can contribute to meeting the ambitious 1.5-degree aspirational target envisaged by the Paris Agreement on climate change. It analyses scientific emission scenarios and case studies from Finland, Japan, China, Brazil, and India, and proposes long-term targets for individuals’ lifestyle carbon footprints by 2030-2050, as well as low-carbon options that citizens and society can adopt.

The report Nordic best practices: Relevant for UNEP 10YFP on sustainable tourism and information presents nineteen initiatives on the themes of sustainable tourism and consumer information. They are presented in a manner designed to facilitate a comparison of their respective strengths, key results, and novelty as well as to draw lessons learned of each particular case.

Moving towards a ‘Circular Economy’ is an action that many world business leaders, policy makers, academics and NGOs argue is necessary in order to help solve global environmental and economic challenges. This report summarizes the findings of a project initiated by the Nordic Waste Prevention Group under the Nordic Council of Ministers to make the circular economy thinking more mainstream in the Nordic countries and thereby accelerate the development of circular economy in the Nordic region. In addition to this report, the project also included the organisation of a large multi-stakeholder workshop with participation of more than 60 actors relevant for the circular economy, which was held in in Copenhagen in April 2015.

In this report, there are 18 case examples of Nordic businesses which are part of the Nordic circular economy as well as short policy recommendations, which were suggested at the workshop.

The report Climate change and primary industries: Impacts, adaptation and mitigaton in the Nordic countries and policy recommendations provide a baseline and a way forward, a focus for the activities that can help the Nordic region to address the threats and opportunities of climate change for our primary production systems.
